Privacy

The short version

There is nothing to sign up for here and no form to fill in. This site does not ask you for your name, your email address, or anything else about you, and it has no account to create. What it does collect is a count of how many people read which pages, and — where ads appear — the cookies Google uses to serve them.

Analytics

This site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to count page views, so I can tell which articles people actually read. That sets cookies in your browser and tells Google your approximate location, your browser, and which pages you visited. It does not tell them who you are, because this site does not know who you are.

Advertising

No ads run on this site. They run on TerraForge, which sits on a subdomain of it, and where Google sets cookies to serve and measure them. Those ads are always non-personalised, and if you are in the EU, UK or Switzerland you are asked before anything loads. TerraForge is used by children, and its own privacy page explains what that means. Wherever you meet them, you can review and change what Google uses for advertising at My Ad Center.

Where the content comes from

Articles and project pages are stored in a content management system (Sanity) and rendered by this site. That is my content, not your data — nothing about your visit is sent there.

What I never do

I never sell your data, and I have no mailing list to add you to. I have no access to anything Google collects beyond the aggregate counts — I can see that a page was read four hundred times, not who read it.

Turning it off

Your browser can block or clear cookies for this site, and most browsers offer a Do Not Track setting. Blocking them costs you nothing here: every page works exactly the same either way.
